Dear Friend,
Israelim.org.il is a new website and organization dedicated to helping families in Southern Israel during this difficult time of conflict.
When hearing of the news of Israel’s recent operation in Gaza, a group of Israelis, mostly high-tech entrepreneurs and the like, got together and decided to establish Israelim.org.il in order to provide families under fire with a simple and fast way to find other families that are willing to host them in their homes for as long as they need.
Based on pure volunteer work, Israelim.org.il has already received messages from more than 8,000 (!) families looking to host those in need, and connected over a hundred families from the conflict areas with relevant hosts.
The organization has created a 24x7 “command center” manned by volunteers dedicated to handling queries, connecting families based on each case’s specific needs, answering questions, and coordinating with any relevant authorities and other organizations. Israelim.org.il has also collected a team of volunteers that are sent to help out residents in the South, helping clean up their shelters, taking care of children and assisting elderly people who need help.
As each day of the operation goes by, and the range of the Hamas missiles grows to include cities deep in the heart of Israel like Be’er Sheva, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Yavne and more, there is a increasing need for help. Most of all Israelim.org.il is looking for helping hands and families willing to host and help others. In addition, the organization is accepting donations from people within Israel that do not have the ability to open their homes, as well as people abroad that are too far away to physically help, but are sympathetic to the situation and want to help fund any costs of the Israelim.org.il efforts.
Any and all donations are extremely appreciated. You can click the link on this page to contribute, and of course we’d be happy to hear from you with any feedback or questions.
We all pray for the success of our soldiers and for their safe return home.
Toda Raba,
Naftali Bennett
